Dick Schroth

Richard R. Schroth, CCP leads the technical team in support of the "Balanced Curriculum" web-site. Actually, he is the technical team. Dick has been developing custom computer applications for longer than he wants to admit, and has worked with Dave Squires to bring Dave's ideas to life on the Internet.

Dick is President of Schroth Systems Consulting, Inc., a company founded in 1984 and dedicated to creating and supporting custom database applications. Dick received a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College in Vermont, and was awarded the Certified Computer Professional designation by the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals (I.C.C.P). He has worked in the computer field for over 25 years, starting as a programmer at his Alma Mater.

Dick's clients have included large organizations such as Yale, Pfizer, GE Capital, SNET and Bayer as well as a large collection of small to medium size organizations. He has vast experience with a wide variety of databases and development tools, including Microsoft Access, Oracle, SQL Server, and Visual Basic.

Dick has been married for over 25 years, and lives with his wife Linda, three children and an assortment of pets in Cobalt, CT (look it up!). His daughter Alison attends the Penn State Medical School, his older son Jon graduated from the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida and works at Blue Sky Studios in White Plains NY, and his younger son, Brian attends Rochester Institute of Technology. Dick loves a variety of sports, including tennis, soccer, basketball, racquetball, ping-pong, windsurfing, biking, snowboarding, and on and on. If you see him, challenge him to a game of something!
